Importance of Setting Goals & Achieving Them by Muay Thai

You don’t get better at anything without challenging yourself & testing your limits to the extreme. You are said to be progressing, only if you achieve your goals & milestones and then without a sigh, start heading for other goals. In this article we’ll talk about setting goals and achieving them. To keep yourself healthy & functioning, you should perform everything in expert guidance & with all safety measures, remember discipline is the key to success and in that journey, if you want to progress faster & better, start by setting goals.

How Setting Goals Help Progress Faster?
Goals are nothing but milestones leading towards your dream destination, and in this case being a Master of Muay Thai. When you set goals, your mind starts working towards them and when you join in with full dedication & discipline, you’ll achieve it in no time. Goals really help eliminating the thought of giving up, when you continuously achieve goals, you get motivated and this sense of satisfaction boosts you up towards more difficult challenges, and since you’ve achieved those goals which once seemed impossible, you work harder and achieve more goals.
As you keep achieving goals, you are progressing at a faster rate. And since you have enough motivation & confidence, you can tackle more difficult challenges with more ease than the previous challenges.
Short-Term Goals for Motivation and Muay Thai
So if you begin your Muay Thai journey today and straightway set a goal of being the World Champion of Muay Thai, that’s not going to happen anytime soon and still there is no guarantee that will ever be possible (unless you work really hard for years with full dedication & discipline, in that case still the chances are low) – What I meant was that, it is good to set big goals but you should not think much about them, because they’re very far away, it’s like if I’m running a Marathon, I should not think about my last kilometer, that is far 41 Kilometers away, I should thing about my first Kilometer, and move ahead step-by-step. This way if I set a goal of completing one kilometer, I’ll be able to do that quicker than completing full marathon, this way on achieving my short-term goal, I’ll be filled with motivation and my next kilometer will be easier to achieve. Step-by-step, I’ll finally achieve my big goal of completing marathon. And since I’ve moved step-by-step, achieving goals, my mind will remain stable throughout the race.
The point here is that Long Term goals do give satisfaction but you should being with setting short-term goals because they’re quicker to achieve, gives motivation on achieving, helps you move to more difficult challenges and also keeps you stable throughout your journey.
Long-Term Goals for Satisfaction
Setting Short Term goals does not mean that we should not have Long term goals, you should have them as well. It’s like if my long term goal is to be a Muay Thai World champion, I should start by being the champion in my age group, then being the champion in my training gym, then moving on being champion at local tournaments, national tournaments and international tournaments. So long term goals are a must, but use short-term goals to achieve them.
